HUGE shoutout to NFL Throwback for some of the old, high quality footage in this video. Also, special thanks to Awful Announcing for their article on the evolution of FOX’s scoreboards that I used as a reference:
This took a while to make but it was definitely a good video idea so I decided to go through with it. If this part does well enough and if people like it I will make additional parts for other networks like NBC, ESPN, and CBS. Leave a like if you enjoyed and don’t forget to subscribe to my channel.

I just found out about this description! Happy to help! big fan of your work!
Hey can u upload nbc
Crazy how significant a network’s scoreboard (& commentators) can really determine your experience with a game. Fox is on top FlyEaglesFly🦅
I always did like the one from 98-00. Not just cause that’s when I first really paid attention to football, but because the scorebug would fly off the screen when the game would go to commercial
there is a new scoreboard now!
am i the only one who thinks that you should be able to choose between these in madden?
Fun fact: many production teams refer to the scoreboard as the "bug". It's what I call it just out of habit
It's crazy how getting coverage of the NFL 1994, especially the more popular half of the NFL, led to not only the biggest Sports Division in the world, but also made a network become legitimate.
3:20 to 3:50 That scoreboard graphic as well as the scoreboard graphic on CBS from 2009 to 2012 is the reason I wanted to get NFL Sunday Ticket on DirecTV.

2010-2011 we're my personal favorite
You can tell a sports clip is old just by looking at the graphics of scoreboard and seeing if it just "pops" up on the screen instead of fading in and out. I know nothing of sports but know that 😀
3:00 the scoreboard I remember seeing often when I was little
2010 is the goat
Can we get some NBC GFX?
The 2003-2006 scoreboards were the best for Fox. Best in the business.
You have to update this now after changing the scorebug for Super Bowl LIV
I like 2010,2014-2016, -2017-2019,and supa bow 54
Now FOX has new graphics
You youngsters have it good. FOX was actually the first network to leave the score up the entire game – but that didn't happen until they started showing NFL games in the 90s – 94 I think. When I was a kid, the networks would put the score up on the screen at certain intervals and only leave it up for a few seconds. So if you flipped the channel to another game, you'd have to wait until they put the score up to know what was going on. It was like that for all sports.
3:22 should have kept this board. 2010 shows the logo which is better than an abbreviation, and doesn't take up the whole screen
